I have toyed with the idea of going to sid but came to the conlcusion
(possibly wrong) that it would involve too many downloads (I am on 56k
dialup). Also on the odd occasion that things break in testing I would
cop all kinds of trouble from my 'other' who is still getting used to
linux.
On a brighter note it is not all that often I need/want newer packages.
The laptop is about 3 years old so it pretty much fully works ok now.
Its only when I need to interact with something newer that I *try* to
use backports or compile packages from testing sources using apt-get
build-source etc.
