(2) Noise[1].
(3) Space[1].
(4) Reliability (no moving parts! -- and I include floppy disks in that).

Of course, I speak as someone with a Sparc 4 running OpenBSD as the home
gateway, partly because I can't get off my chuff to reconfigure the PC
"server" running Debian as the gateway, and partly because I know I'll
miss pf.

But I do lust after all 4 points above.
