[wellylug] HylaFax RPM uninstall

Hi

as Andrej said "rpm -e rpm" is correct syntax but it can be a bit picky
about how much of the rpm name you use eg
rpm -e hylafax.01 may work but hylafax.01-002.rpm may not. (I'm sure that
there is a logic to this that someone can explain to me?)

cron jobs on a sme box will be in /etc/cron.d/ or maybe /etc/cron.daily/
..weekly/ ..monthly/ (they all exist) - the rpm -e should get rid of them -
each cron job is a separate file.

startup scripts on sme are in /etc/init.d - just delete anything with
hylafax in it.

cheers

Mark

Subject: [wellylug] HylaFax RPM uninstall

Hi All...

How do I uninstall a RPM. I need to uninstall HylaFax on a client server. I
also need to stop and remove any cron jobs that it may have started. I also
need to stop the HylaFax services from running.

Thanks

Michael
