Relax people :-) In the Dev-Zone library (for instance) there is a 300
page book on "Guide for Meetings and Organisations". 5 pages? That's
quite small.

Compared to, for instance, the Bangalore LUG, the group is chaotic! The
rules help in getting a little order in among the gamut of activities
and directions the group could go.

A little awareness raising and shared understanding would avoid this
potential problem. If we can agree on where we want to go, then there
is probably no problem at all. If we can't, then our LUG is nothing
more than a loose affiliation of people who share a few things in
common, and won't achieve much beyond that except by accident. And
maybe that's what people want - I'm not passing judgement in saying this
:-)
