I am only new so have not formed an oppinion yet as I have only recieved
about 3 e-mails regarding this, but would like to understand why you
want to "Formalise" the WellyLug.

What excatly will this achive?
What are the benifits of doing this?

And if you had Membership fees, doesnt that just involve more issues
with Tax and crap?

Or could it be that someone wants a job as a paied manager of the
WellyLug?

The NZLug is not "Formal" nor is the Auckland lug, it works well..
If there is a cost of getting into a venue, I am sure alternates can be
arranged..

I dont understand where the costs would arise in running a lug, if you
need to pay for site hostings, I am sure this also could be
accomodated.. after all the majority of people on the lists would be
from New Zealand, thus generating NZ traffic, so any ISP any of us are
signed up to the traffic charges on this is not that much to go over
your limit, but really has any one gone over the like 100gig Cable
national cap yet?

My two, non formed oppinion, thoughts

As I am new dont want to create waves
