I replied to Brent saying I was interested, but I'd need better
details of the formats involved.

To be honest, it doesn't sounds like a complicated job, just a straight
data conversion exercise; I'm not even entirely sure why C needs to
be involved, other than maybe to validate output easily, and/or volume
of data.
