Given some of the general discussions I tend to agree that that any form 
of advocacy is not a key objective as per item 2.b below

     2. OBJECTIVES
     a) To exchange Linux and Open Source Software knowledge and experience.
     b) To encourage the use of Linux and Open Source Software

My thoughts are that though some members may undertake projects involved 
in advocacy, that may well be done under the guise of the NZOSS or as an 
"extra non-core" activity of the WellyLUG.

So I think our objective is:

1) To provide a forum for the following activities to occur:

a) Exchange Linux and Open Source Software knowledge and experience 
through demonstrations, peer to peer discussions and general banter
b) Exchange Software in a legal manner as allowed under the various open 
source licences
c) Sharing of manuals between fellow members

An that's about it, anything else is extra.

That's my 2 Turkish Lira's worth
