All this argument reminds me of a famous German saying...
"If you have 2 people in a room, you have three opinions."
It seems to be that way on this list...I would suggest that everybody hangs
fire until the monday meeting in Wellington.

If one thing has shown the the LUG needs some sort of decision making
committee it's this discussion.
Count the emails and arguments - all I can see is it's gone off subject
into OSS/NZOSS/Gnome stuff and personal opinions (fine as they are).
I joined to get help with Linux. Have attended meetings and given that
up as I couldn't hear or see the presentations. All the help has come
through the mailing list.
If there was a _structure_ to the club then I might have somewhere to
go.
Formalise it? Whatever works for the aims of the club.
What are the aims? Can everyone agree to them?
