Hmm, just in case you don't know, (I know you use GNOME, as do I) KDE has this 
built in.  One nice feature of KDE ;-)

This could definitely come in handy, thanks :-)  If you're looking for new 
wallpaper, I just added a wallpaper section to my website.  Feel free to take
