I haven't had time to get my two wireless cards working properly under
Debian, but they are supported out of the box on other distros, and
are widely reported to work with just about any setup (there have been
some reports of flaky behaviour with the 196 card):

* 3COM 3CRWE154G72 (802.11b/g)
* 3COM 3CRSHPW196 (802.11b)

Both need binary firmware, which can be downloaded for free
(www.prism54.org and www.thekelleys.org.uk respectively).

I got mine from www.ascent.co.nz, but lest this be construed as
advertising, I'm not recommending you buy from them rather than anyone
else.

Best of luck.

Cheers
Tony
