Feel free to brand it as being "stop energy" but I really do feel that
if you are 'cold-emailing' a group of people trying to promote a product
or service to them, you do need to choose your wording very carefully to
avoid ambiguity.

Why reinvent the wheel, though?  What does this service provide that pgp
/ gnupg / spamassassin / clamav don't?

SPF and DNS Caller ID were two separate standards.  SPF now incorporates
Microsoft's authentication scheme as well.

Why is it that when IBM assists with development of open standards and
open source software it's referred to as 'contributing', but when
Microsoft does the same, the more ominous 'embracing and extending' is
used?

I don't claim to be representative of the lug; I'm only representative
of me.  If my comments mean that you're going to take back all your toys
and never offer to share them with the lug again, then that's a shame. 
I certainly have nothing against you or anybody else getting benefit
from CA-Cert.  I just don't think it's something I'd be interested in.
