I don't think there was amiguity. I suspect that you are predisposed to 
the most negative connotation.

Also, I am not "promoting" a service. I am *offering* one, out of a sense 
of altruism, to the benefit of others, for no benefit to myself, at a cost 
of my time.

Again we appear to be suffering a communication breakdown/comprehension 
failure, so let me reiterate as clearly as I can;

WLUG members, like anyone else, can obtain assurance from CA-Cert on an 
individual basis. CA-Cert provides an "Assurer Locator" on it's website 
through which you can find an Assurer in your area. 

This service is in no way dependent on Assurer attendance at a WLUG 
meeting.

It seems that you got the impression from my post this morning that I was 
saying "Screw you guys, I'm going home and I'm taking my ball with me." 

That was not my intention. I was trying to say "I see that you have no 
need for or interest in this solution currently, I'll talk to you about it 
a little later, you might be interested in or want it then."
