That's just to do with cdrecord which is complaining about the recent
introduction of the ATAPI interface which was buggy untill recently. 
from all accounts it is a much better interface that the scsi emulation
and supports dma which gives a huge increase in data throughput; ie just
ignore it.


now for cdrecord use 'dev=ATA:1,1,0' for burning cd's
