Thanks Mark
I have narrowed down the problem, it seems that lilo.conf is correct just
that because the RAID-1 array is not marked as bootbale, it isn't booting
SME from LILO.
I will probably just go with software RAID-1 if I can't get the hardware
RAID fixed by the end of this week.
Regards
Michael

It most probably won't work using the hardware ide raid without major driver
agonies - suggest you use software raid option.
make sure that its not set to boot off of cdrom first in bios - this seems
to stuff up software raid
also remember it will run like custard for a few hours while the disks sync
cat /proc/mdstat to see disk sync %

Subject: [wellylug] SME Server problems
Hi All...
I have just installed SME Server 6.0.1 on a box for a client. The install
went fine except when I reboot the box or shut it down and then start it up
again it doesn't boot into SME Server.
I can boot SME using the the rescue floppy, but I need it to boot using LILO
like it should. I am using the PX865PE Pro II motherboard from Albatron and
the 2 120GB hard-drives are operating off the IDE RAID.
If someone can give me some hints to fix?
BTW, the system sees (when booted off the floppy) the two hard-drives (RAID
1) as hde.
Thanks
Michael
