"Dick Smith Electronics is the first retailer to join a Linux
certification scheme launched by New Zealand's Open Source Society.

Linux is an open source operating system which competes with Microsoft's
Windows. A variety of related and open source software is also available
for productivity and database applications. 

Approved computers will carry a "Linux Friendly" logo in-store. This
will indicate the systems are easy to set up with Linux."
