Personally I've never bothered with linux on a mac since the days of
MkLinux (though I did install NetBSD on an SE/30 about 7 years back, and
have had OpenBSD on various bits of 68k hardware over the years). I'm
quite happy with the OS X solution; when I run linux/bsd stuff I do it on
intel hardware. That being said, it ain't linux, but OpenBSD has at least
a couple of developers running on Apple laptops (and the hackathons seem
to have a few DT macs around as well), so I would presume support is
pretty good. Though if you're looking for pretty GUI config tools OBSD
ain't gonna be your baby. ;-)
