As another alternative, I would like to recommend using Windows Terminal
Services and the open-source 'rdesktop' program (I use a recent CVS head
without problems). This allows you to run Windows programs 'properly' but
requires a dedicated Windows host. It doesn't work very well for
multimedia applications, but it performs a lot better than VNC and is
perfect for Office applications. If you purchase multiple Terminal
Services licenses, you can connect with multiple Linux clients (each with
their own Windows desktop on the same server).
I use it every day - it's good! :)
