Mostly pretty good. If you use VB macros, etc in MS Office apps you are likely
to have problems, similarly if you use Word addons like the equation editor.
For basic WP it is fine, spreadsheets are also generally OK, tho it seems
slower than Excel, and I have found the charting capabilities weaker. Impress
also fine for basic presentations. Nothing close to Access (maybe try Rekall
instead or Star Office?)
So unless you have slightly out-of-the-ordinary uses for MS Office, it's pretty
good.
I've been supplying it on both Windows & Linux boxes for people to use as an
Office Suite, complete with a third party book on driving it I picked up to
lend out. People liked the reassurance of having the book "just in case". As
far as I'm aware, only one customer even bothered or needed to open it.
I know of a few cases where OO was used to open corrupt Word files that Word
was unable to. Then save them as a Word doc :-)
