Bonnie++ tests a filesystem rather than a partition, so you also get affected by
any overheads caused by the filesystem of the drive you're testing.
The parameter give to the -d (scratch dir) option is the directory beneath which
bonnie++ should create the files it uses for testing.
The total size (-s) should be at least equal to your total ram (if not more) to
ensure that you don't end up testing Linux's disk cache rather than the disk
read speed.
