Well,

As a Mandrake user of several years, I may be ready for a change!!
(shock horror!!)

I chose & continued to use Mandrake because it installed well, ran reliably (so
I didn't actually need to know about Linux to use it) and readily supported the
applications I need to run, mostly GIS & mapping related Open Source
applications, with RDBMS & visualisations stuff thrown in..

As an Open Source GIS user, the following URL has a drool effect similar to the
Iwill Zmax for technophiles :-)

http://www.localis.org/tiki-index.php?page=+LinGis

So I'll be throwing SUSE on a box & trying it!!!

I believe it is the power of applications on Linux which will see it succeed on
the desktop, and efforts like this are a great step forward.

Brent
