I just checked the kernel source,

It has a option for 'Silicon Image SATA support' (under the SCSI
subsystem), so I would say yes. Their site also says so. (however, you
can't always trust venders...)

On setting it up, I would guess it would just plug n' play, and any
drives should be under /dev/sd* (sda, sdb).
