I would start be making sure that Apache has been started on your
webserver machine.

Internall on any webbrowser go in the address bar

http://<IPADDRESS OF WEBSERVER>

that should display the file called index.html -- if that works, yaa you
have your webserver running.

What type of firewall do you have?

ADSL Modem?
Cable Modem connected via USB or Ethernet
DialUP Modem?

ADSL modem should have something called, Pinhole, NAT Port Forwarding,
Service Hosting or something like that .

It will have a location for IP Adress and Port just tell the router that
port 80 should be redirected to <IPADDRESS OF WEBSERVER> and when anyone
hits your external IP address via a webbrowser they will be redirected to
your internal webserver's port 80.
