4. You could post information ONCE about any given podcast (whatever that 
is) or competition. And you could post such a plain text roundup of 
headliners with URLs no more than once per week.

That way you get to post a concise and informative roundup with a low 
annoyance factor, and people can point-n-click to read further about what 
interests them.

People would also be able to re-visit anything you put on your roundup, 
and you will be able to track what people really are interested in 
reading about.

Remember - we CAN read. You DON'T need to throw stuff multiple times at 
us.

I would agree that it is nice to know what's happening in the other LUGs.

But what you were doing is the electronic equivalent of repeatedly 
stuffing the same KFC or Dell advert in the same letterbox every hour of 
every day. After a while people just stop reading it and chuck it straight 
in the bin.
