Thanks for that very helpful information - exactly what I need.  I was 
going to check the price of Dick Smith modems because I had one before, 
but thought it was about $150.  That was an external one though.  I am 
not computer savvy enough to feel comfortable fiddling with the inner 
doings of my computer, though I'm told it's simple!
