When i phoned them to complain (and i spent a good 15 minutes ranting at 
some poor helpdesker) i was told (in vague terms) that they don't peer 
with anyone they don't have an international traffic agreement with.

I don't really see how being on the WIX hurts them, since I can't see 
how you could essentially use telstra bandwidth for free - it costs them 
next to nothing to transport data from point A on the WIX to point B on 
the WIX, and thats all the WIX covers. I don't see how theres an issue 
with telstra 'losing' due to traffic flowing across the WIX, and I can't 
see where international traffic comes into it.

Also, I noticed that it seems DTS is still  peered with TC - and if DTS 
is WIX-connected - why wouldn't TC route through one of the WIX 
connected ISPs they *do* have a reciprocal agreement with? it just seems 
insane to route my connection from home to a server in the wellington 
CBD through los angeles, and the helpdesker didn't really have a good 
explanation as to why that should be reasonable either.
