Dear all,

I hope you all had a nice NYE-BBQ on the 27th !

A while back I had asked whether there was any interest in 
having a beer together on the evening of the 10th and, potentially, 
a talk about Grid computing (if there is a room available and people 
were interested).

It has turned out that my rental car company doesn't allow me
to change cars in Picton (which seems to be the usual way of 
going to the North Island - I'm in Christchurch now), and the 
ferry company has quoted me a rather high price for bringing the 
car to the North Island. As I haven't heard back about a room 
being available for a talk, I would now prefer to stay on the South 
Island, i.e. not come to Wellington. I hope that this does not cause 
any invonvenience for anybody !

If there indeed is a room available for a talk, let me know. I would
then still come to Wellington. I would appreciate it, though, if in this case
someone could send me an SMS to +49 1722750031, as I do not
know whether I will be able to read my mail regularly once I'm outside
of Christchurch.
