Here's a good example - back up 9G to an external 40G 2.5" hard drive from
an older Toshiba lappie using (probably) USB 1 - nearly 4 hours.
Restore the same data to a new HP -  less than half an hour. Both ends are
windows boxes (2000 and XP Pro) and the backup program was the standard
Windows backup
