[wellylug] OT: WinXP Home CD needed

Yep, I did look at the first two links. I have tried MS user groups before
(and wished I hadn't). Last time I asked if I could borrow a disk (even
though I had a CD key), everyone thought I wanted to pirate it. Ever since
then I haven't bothered.

As for the MS-related work stuff, yes most of my work is MS-related (it is a
MS world out there in most businesses) but I also look after a few Linux and
MacOS X servers.

I didn't mean to jump on you, I guess I deserve it asking for a WinXP Home
CD on a LUG mailing list. I have had an offer of a disk, so I will properly
take the person up on the offer.

Thanks anyway.

Michael

I was trying hard to be helpful, Michael.

Out of interest, did you actually look at those first two links? They
provide contact details for two groups of people interested in MS products
in the Wellington region. I think it's a fair bet that someone in one of
those groups might have a CD like the one you are after.

Plus, judging from your previous posts, you seem to do a fair bit of
MS-related work, so making the contacts might be good for your business.
