no, with wine you don't have to have any version of windows installed.
it installs windows programs straight onto the linux partitions, so
there is no special partitions needed, and no windows binaries needed.
However, if you do have windows binaries, you can actually use them in
place of wine's binaries, but I would just use wine's unless you can't
get the program to run.
