As long as the .nz registry was updated with the correct IPs for both pri
and sec DNS, this should be done automagically.
I've gone through the IP-address-change bit a couple of times with regard
to the domains I host (My colo has been through 3 IPs now) and have never
had any problems.

A NOTIFY is sent to the Secondary nameserver from the Primary if the
Serial of the DNS record has been updated.
The Secondary compares serial numbers and if the one it has in memory is
out of date, it actions an AXFR and grabs the new record. It can always go
back into the DNS root to confirm the authenticity of whether
xyz-new-ip-address should be authoritive or not.

Mark.
