well it is a vague question - "what do you run?". Run what?
Well, I have a 2.6 series kernel, apache, mysql, sendmail, ssh, etc....
It's better to say "Ubuntu" rather than giving the person a whole list
of typical stuff.
Now if they said "What version of Linux do you run?", technically you
should give the kernel version. However, Linux is also used as a common
term for the entire open source desktop, so I believe both answers are
right.
Now we should get RMS into this debate over the naming of the whole
Linux system.... :-)
