next time you wish to resize windows partitions - I suggest Partition
Magic, it can resize just about any fs (ext2/3, ntfs, fat, hpfs, hfs(+ I
think), etc, etc)

And in the many years I have used it, it has only broken something once
(and I think I did the breaking anyway ;-)
