[wellylug] Ubuntu 6.10 / Presario V3000

Hi guys
Done, after trying to install Suse 10 on my laptop I made the move to 
Ubuntu 6.10 AMD64.
CPU is a Turion X2 AMD64, Nvidia graphic card.
I am speechless.... Install went straight after discarding the time setting.
Everything is working but the wifi stuff, but I have seen some posts on 
how to fix it and it is within my skills (or so called).
apt / synpatic works a treat.
I just need to configure Nvidia /xorg
for that I need to switch to runlevel 3 but .... # init 3 does not do 
anything.
Any alternative for that ?
