Seeing how well it worked for the (relatively) newly Inc'd Palmy LUG
people.. I wouldn't be against it, but as people have said, there is
no point fixing what ain't broke.
I'm all for more structure - maybe a set of roles, that people can
volunteer to fill for a set period of time - but not just fluffy
ones... something with a "job description"? That way there is a
clear "go to guy" for a given "issue", and we don't have to reinvent
the wheel and go dreaming up the best way to do something each time
the current de-facto volunteer for a given thing goes awol/gets bored.
What are the issues the LUG is facing that could be helped by more
structure? Advocacy? Work stuff? InstallFests? Sponsors? Meeting?
Venues? Should we pick a few and let the rest tick over in our
workable anarchy?
