Thanks Jethro, well thought out.

That is an excellent example of something I think WellyLUG is more appropriate
for than NZOSS, local hands on Linux/OSS user support. Any LUG mailing list can
provide list style support, so WellyLUG can't really claim to be better than
WLUG, NZLUG or anyone else, but local hands-on is totally different. 

If we are trying to make Linux & OS more mainstream (aren't we?), and will be
looking to maximise the 'fest, presentations, SF Day, etc, then I think it will
be important to allocate responsibilities to individuals, as we have done in
the past, but take advantage of anything NZOSS has to offer. A joint event is
certainly preferable, if there are joint contributions. 

I also think that rather than involve Luggites in different events throughout
the year, we should try to coordinate the events to maximise advertising and
sponsorship possibilities. SF Day makes a good starting date, as it is fixed
internationally, so we han plan local events around that. 

Seem sensible, or am I missing something?
