With SUSE your time localisation field is very important when it
comes to doing online updates believe it or not.
The localisation setting is used to identify nearby mirrors so
ideally you want it set to Pacific -> Auckland/Wellington
The update process will first hit the primary SUSE update server in
Germany which will return a list of local mirrors (the closest being
in Australia).
If you are having issues with the update process try changing your
time localisation to Australia (or to NZ if it is not already) and
rerun Online Update in Yast.
