you may like Ubuntu. I think it would be quite similar to Xandros. But
again, if you are happy with Xandros, there isn't much point switching.
However, from my ubuntu experience, it's a very easy to use distro, and
has a great package selection.
You could always install both. :-)

depends on what sort of stuff you would like to know.
If you want general guides, it appears that the library doesn't have
anything very recent. :-(
However, most modern distros have great online documentation. Ubuntu has
good documentation online for example.
However, reading something like "Redhat 9 for Dummies" will teach you
some of the things like the command line, if you can to learn them.
You may also want to read Linus Torvald's Autobiography. It's a really
