[wellylug] Google Earth

Has anyone else had any problems getting Google Earth running properly 
in Kubuntu using openGL?  I installed this very good app the other day 
but comes up with message box when starting up saying that graphics card 
driver not properly configured and that it will continue to run on 
openGL, just very slowly.  It was not wrong, it does run but the speed 
is such that it is soooo slow as to be not worth the effort!

My motherboard-integrated graphics card is S3 proSavage8 KM266.  The 
stock standard drivers supplied with Kubuntu 6.10 do not list this so I 
chose "savage generic with software m/pointer" instead, 64MB ram, which 
runs everything OK except for Google Earth.

Any suggestions?
