seems !2b my mistake. The CD is from a mag and labeled Ubuntu 5.10..
During install 1 of the screens shows DAPPER. So I thought this is 5.10
Dapper. Oooopppsss!

What's de diff btween em?

I've google'd a lot b4 starting my proprietary method. Just want's to
solve this problem in a few hours. Have a lot of real work. I've ! found
@Ubuntu any hint about this. In my opinion, if a distributor installs
FF, he/she should make the installation process as intuitive as
possible.

There are hundreds having same problem and no real solution!

Probably the default link of FF should point to useful additional
installation hints!
