[wellylug] Ubuntu - upgrades

Hi

I just restarted my pc for other reasons and got the usual 'updates
available' message so I installed them, as I thought I should.

Is there any way I can undo that, as all has turned to crap?
Thunderbird is not working, I can't reply to messages and I would
just like it back the way it was before?

any help appreciated
