Hi Jim,
            I originally contacted Jethro Carr re using Linux and he suggested Ubuntu 6.06. I am not familiar with Unix and have been just trying to have a look at Linux to see if I can manage to use it. I tried to do this back a few years ago on my own and just floundered and stayed with Microsoft. Currently my machine running XP crashes at least every time I use e-mail and usually once an hour with internet. I had heard that Linux was very stable hence my interest.
            Local for me is Levin. I am quite happy to download a newer version of the program. I just need to be told what version,cheers Leo.
