Hi Cliff,
            You got it in one. I'm like Sergeant Shultz "I know nothing" my ownly experience with entering commands dates back to an old Lugable machine I had back in the 80's and I wasn't all that great at getting that to go.
            I am sort of feeling that I need to get a reference book and install the program rather than run from the CD.
I have had a look in our local library and there is quite a number of books on Linux, most of them a bit confusing. Should I be looking at books on Unix, cheers Leo.
