[wellylug] video card choice

There is the Nouveau project which is aiming to get decent 3D  
accellerated drivers for NVidia cards:
http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/

I'm not sure how well it works or the depth of the hardware support  
but the core driver is based on the NV driver.
