Hi ffmepg is not decompressing mpeg2 properly. My apologise for having indicating it. but most of my footage is either Dv or super8 mm qnd it is mute Otherwise try to decode separetaly audio and video with ffmpeg. Last option : Have you tried mpeg2dec ? cheers E
