Agreed, - Windows first is the way to go, then use a Linux Bootloader to 
deal with the Dualboot.  I'd reccomend at least 10GB for Windows XP if you 
expect it to be in any way useful... maybe compromise and go in for 7GB.

This Windows XP Pro laptop im using at present, has a C:\WINDOWS folder 
size of around 3.5GB at present.

The obvious thing to point out, is that any data stored on Linux 
Filesystems is inaccessible from Windows, but the inverse is of course not 
true...
