[wellylug] Unbuntu, how to flush DNS

Hi Steve,

It might be helpful to 

1.) identify which applications could be caching
DNS information, and 

2.) read their documentation to learn how to flush
their individual caches.

For example, if you're using "dnsmasq" and if my
understanding from reading its man page is
correct, its DNS cache could be flushed on a
debian system with the command

    # kill -1 $(pidof /usr/sbin/dnsmasq)

I seem to recall that some web browsers also cache
DNS information, and there are certainly other DNS
applications as well.

On my debian system, I'd search for DNS
applications that are installed by doing

    $ dpkg -l | grep -i dns
