[wellylug] Routers

When building linux router for adsl,just wondering it seems you don’t have
to buy extra pci card for it. Using pppoe protocol and tun0 interface that
will do the job . In my case, I prefer to use openbsd instead.

the consumer routers often suck, and have buggy features, but I haven't
found stability an issue before.

You could get a Linksys WRT54G, which are supposed to be quite good, or
you could go for an enterprise grade device like a Netscreen 5GT, which
will cost a lot more, but is rock-solid and with plenty of powerful
features.

Alternately you could build a router using a Linux PC - if you need
ADSL, you could stick a PCI Sangoma ADSL card in it, which are supported
under Linux.
