[wellylug] Mostly OT: Stop Motion Video

I used to stop motion with very basic tools - a bt848 card with a
composite video in, an old vhs camera and a tool (i forget its name) that
would simply grab a frame from the video camera and write it out as an
image when i hit the space bar.

I then used mencoder to stich those frames together into a movie.

However, this:

looks pretty good. all you should need is a web cam or other device that
is v4l compatible.
