Been around since the days of the 8086 and MSDOS 2.01 - working as a
hardware software support techie. (But turned into a LINUX novice over
the past decade. Forgotten so much about UNIX.)
Luckily, this is a hardware not a software issue...
I've learned, on hundreds of machines, not to buy the most expensive
(you're paying for corporate advertising and/or expensive mall rental),
nor the cheapest (crappy components, warranty abandonment, poor
workmanship).
If you can afford it, I would personally find what is the cheapest and buy
something at about 10 to 20% above that. A place with an actual store
front is better than an anonymous guy at a weekend market who won't give
out pre-printed receipts.
But your mileage may vary.
