This is not a good way to install thunderbird on Suse.

Suse has its own packages for installing Thunderbird which should be 
available in whatever Suse uses for package management these days - 
Yast2 last time I looked. Should be in a menu somewhere "install 
software" or some such.

The RPM you want to install is MozillaThunderbird
